The Guardian’s job is to care for all shifters. It doesn’t matter if you’re in a pack, clan, or nomadic.
Donovan Kennedy is putting his life back together after his mother’s death and taking over the family business, Kennedy’s Bar. He’s afraid of losing it, while his responsibilities as a Guardian slip away. Donovan meets a new face one night in his bar, a cutie named Kaleb. Kaleb could be a reprieve from Donovan’s stress. He hoped to see this lovely man again, but he didn’t expect their next meeting would be at the firm, with Kaleb being his new accountant. Donovan tried to inquire about a new accountant. The problem is he can’t afford someone else, and Kaleb is his only option. Donovan needs to behave.
Kaleb Franco did what his family wanted. Become an accountant to make good money. He moved to Coal Valley to be closer to his first accounting job. But he often wondered, what if he had changed his mind and done something else, such as becoming a librarian, teacher, or writer? Anything other than looking at numbers all day. But his newest client, Donovan, makes his tedious job a little more fun. Kaleb will need to maintain a professional boundary unless he wants to lose respect from his family and peers or even his career.
If the two men cross that line, will they be able to have a fulfilling relationship? Kaleb would have to push aside his feelings to advise a struggling business owner. On top of Donovan being on call as a guardian for his shifter community, while doing his damndest to keep the bar running.
This is a serialized queer shifter romance (MLM), with each episode leading into the next for our couples.
